  10.        This chapter lists information that is supplemental to the
  11.        _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_o_r'_s _G_u_i_d_e and the
  12.        installation instructions in the _P_e_r_s_o_n_a_l _S_y_s_t_e_m
  13.        _A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e.  The information listed here is
  14.        product-specific; use it with either of these guides to
  15.        install this product.

  17.        2.1  _X__W_i_n_d_o_w__S_y_s_t_e_m__S_u_b_s_y_s_t_e_m_s

  19.        The X software includes these subsystems:

  21.        _x__e_o_e._s_w._S_e_r_v_e_r          This is the X window server.  You
  22.                                 must install this if you want to
  23.                                 use any graphics on your system.
  24.                                 The font server is also contained
  25.                                 in this subsystem.

  27.        _x__e_o_e._s_w._e_o_e             This must be installed to run any X
  28.                                 clients.  This is a set of
  29.                                 necessary tools for managing your
  30.                                 X11 window server.

  33.                                 64-bit X clients.

  35.        _x__e_o_e._s_w._X_f_o_n_t_s          These are the font files used by
  36.                                 most X applications.  Most
  37.                                 applications do not work without
  38.                                 them.

  40.        _x__e_o_e._s_w._X_o_p_t_f_o_n_t_s       A set of optional bitmap X fonts.
  41.                                 Most applications can work without
  42.                                 these fonts.  If you get a message
  43.                                 about Lucida fonts missing, you
  44.                                 should install this subsystem.

  113.        This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of the X
  114.        Window System software.

  116.        You can use the software installation instructions in the
  117.        _P_e_r_s_o_n_a_l _S_y_s_t_e_m _A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e to install this
  118.        product.  If you are installing this software for the first
  119.        time, the default subsystems are installed if you click the
  120.        _I_n_s_t_a_l_l _A_u_t_o_m_a_t_i_c_a_l_l_y button.  To install a different set of
  121.        subsystems, click the _C_u_s_t_o_m_i_z_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n button and make
  122.        your new selections.  Then click the _S_t_a_r_t button to launch
  123.        the installation.
